CAPRICORNUS "At Any Cost!" CD
Tuesday 13 January 2009

We have added the lost CAPRICORNUS album, "At Any Cost!" CD, to our releases page. Is it finally out? No. And it will never be released, because the album was never recorded, due to Capricornus sudden and inexplicable disappearance at some point in early 2006. The album has been added for memorial purposes, given that the album had already been given a title and a cover.

(Incidentally, there was a more extreme version of this cover.)

As mentioned in newsletters we published in 2005, "At Any Cost!" was supposed to further push CAPRICORNUS in the neo-Romantic direction pioneered in THOR'S HAMMER's 2004 album, "Three Weeds from the Same Root". Capricornus also revealed to us at the time that the new material was to evince a number of highly unusual and original influences, thus suggesting that this would have been Capricornus' greatest achievement to date. Maybe some of this material still exists, probably in fragmentary and incomplete form, in a rehearsal tape or in a hard drive somewhere out there in Poland; but if it does, only Capricornus, wherever he is, knows and holds the keys. However, sources once close to Capricornus believe he will never return, so this masterpiece is lost.

Capricornus was also due to record an exclusive song for our "Anti-Geldof Compilation", our answer to the Live 8 concerts organised by the ever-odious and self-righteous Bob Geldof, and supported by Gordon Brown and Tony Blair and the world media and a thousand fashion-conscious Rock and Pop artists, in 2005. In fact, Capricornus was the first person with whom we discussed the idea for that project, back in November 2004. His song was had been tentatively named "Hate Metal". To our knowledge, it was never recorded.
