KATAXU Plans New Album

KATAXU inform us that they are planning to record a new album in 2009. If you have following the activities of this band and the associated SUNWHEEL, you will know that this is a rare event indeed: the last KATAXU album was released in 2005, whereas the last SUNWHEEL studio recording was released in 2004.

So far the band have not disclosed to us any details concerning style, song titles, or album titles. However, if the new album by SUNWHEEL (the guitarrist is the same) and KATAXU's "Hunger of Elements" are any indication, we can certainly expect quality symphonic Black Metal, volatilised with majestic atmospheres and epic songs of grandiose cosmic inspiration.

For now, "Hunger of Elements" and the KATAXU / NECATOR split CD (which features KATAXU's rare 1995 "North" demo) are still available. You can obtain copies of these CDs here and here respectively.

We also have copies of the BLACK SEPTEMBER / DARKSTORM RAVENHEART Split CD, whose line-up features the driving force behind the abovementioned bands (DARKSTORM RAVENHEART is the same band as as the Polish DARKSTORM from the mid 1990s, whose 1996 album was recently re-issued with bonus tracks by the Dutch label The Ritual).
