Company History

Supernal Music was founded in 1996 by a long-time fan and collector of extreme Metal who saw the need for a fast, cheap, reliable, and comprehensive mail order service in the U.K..

As there was no venture capital involved, the operation's beginnings were synonymous with puritanical dedication and Dickensian penury. We dwelled in caves, surviving on worms and cockroaches, while records were kept in encrypted cuneiform, pressed onto clay tablets. Today, Supernal Music offers an extensive mailorder service and a catalogue of well-respected releases. Our roster ranges from the very innovative (THE MEADS OF ASPHODEL, FLEURETY) to the very extreme (HATE FOREST, CAPRICORNUS); while our music ranges from the harshest Black Metal to Misanthropic Ambient and obscure Drone Doom. The label is also producing its own range of merchandise, offering an alternative aesthetic to a generation disgusted by the liberal, urban, cosmopolitan, egalitarian, and unheroic values of the modern world.
